なお、質問としては、モンゴルと韓国、日本の連帯はどのように実現できるのか、ということと３・１１にサンフランシスコの労働者たちがデモを行うそうで、連帯は自分の足元の闘いからはじまると思うがどのように思うかということでした。私は最初の質問には、３・１１以前、日本では原発に関する問題点が隠されていたのと同じように、アジアの国々の人たちもまた原発の恐ろしさを知らされないでいるので、彼らに正確な知識と情報を伝える必要がある、そのことを私たちはなんとか実現したいと考えていると伝えました。
後の質問には私は拍手をもって答えました。そしてそのときの映像を是非送ってくれれば是非、日本、韓国、モンゴルにも伝えたいと話しました。
1.自己紹介
Hellow, good morning, everybody. now it is 7 o'clock in the morning of Nov 4th in Japan. Today it is my birthday. I am calling you from Kawasaki located between tokyo and yokohama facing to the Tokyo Bay and Narita Air Port. I am Seungkoo Choi born in Osaka just after the war as a Korean, the second generation.It is so nice to talk with you through skype. I am so glad to have a meeting with you like this. Since I was born in Japan, I have been searching how to live as a Korean for more
than fifty years. I have struggled with discriminations against Koreans in Japan until now. However, the more deeply I know the real situations in Japan, the more I think I have to overcome the discriminations against us by reforming this society from the bottom.
Then we faced to Mar 11th,3/11 The disaster of the Earthquake, the tsunami, and the accident of Fukushima, The Nuke power Stations which so far the Japanese Government persuaded us they are safe, clean and cheap. Now it is clear that it's not true they were liers.
Not only the Japanese, but whole residents living in here had the same experiences of the fear in spite of the races and the nations. Now all residents in here worry about the radioactivity of water, tea, vegetable, fish and meat. In fukushima kids are not allowed to play on the ground bcz of the high radioactivity. Farmers and fishimen they lost their jobs and do not know when they could start it again. Mothers are afraid of their own milk contaminated. Young girls fear that they would not be able to get married bcz they live in there. This is a new discrimination caused by the disaster which was made by the Government Policy after the war.
Knowing these facts I realized that we have to stand up to stop the Nuke Power Stations in spite of our nationality and race to save our own lives as far as we live here. But when I wrote these words in the twitter, some nationalistic groups began to attack me repeatedly, saying, don! t utter the words of cowork with Japanese, get out of Japan, wickied, fuck Koreans! We decided to sue them which is the first case in Japan. So far here the Hate Speeches are not punished. We have had to bear the Hate Crimes so far. Then they tried to approach to Google to stop my blog and email, I do know how they did it, but I could not use them three times.
２．CNFE NCCの支援で韓国・モンゴル訪問
However I decided to organize the Christians to stop the Nuke Power Stations in order to save the lives of whole people which is the Christian Network for Free-Nuke Earth(CNFE) after 3/11.Within a half year the number of our members are more than a hundred. We approached to The National Christian Council in Japan (NCCJ). They decided to support our activities to strengthen the international solidarity to stop the Nukes. So last month I had visited Korean and Mongolia for two weeks.
３．韓国の実情
First of all, let me explain about Koreas situations.
Now they have 21 Nuke Power Stations among which President Lee had constructed more than half of them when he had worked in Hyundai as a president. He is the head of the Nuke Mafia.
He announced their policy that they will make the present numbers of the Nuke power stations double, and get 20% of Nuke Stations which will be constructed newly in the world until 2030.
Frankly speaking, in Korean, the activities against the nuke stations seemed declining. But when I arrived in Seoul, October 26th, the new mayor of Seoul was born who is so famous as the democratic and progressive lawyer. So many activists were very excited with the new mayor. They seemed to get the confidence again to activate their activities.
Now in Seoul, they were surprised to know that in some erea some wives found that the level of radioactivity on the highway were very high, and some frozen fish imported from Japan were also contaminated. The Green party Korea is ready to sue the Government for their omission who insisted that the radiation level was not considered to immediately pose health risk to humans which was below the safe level. But they do not mention about the internal exposure.
I had met many groups more than our expectation one of which is the Korean Professors' Organization for a Post-Nuclear Energy Society. Their target is to gather 1000 professors to make counterproposals to the Government. I had discussed with the leader to cowork with us and promised to have a press conference at Tokyo and Seoul on November 11th at 11 o’clock at the same time.
４．モンゴルの実情
Then I flied to Mongolia which was the first trip to me.
I was very anxious about this trip bcz I failed to make an appointment except one lady. The groups which I had approached and asked to introduce someone who might help me denied it bcz it is too political and dangerous. Thus I met one lady and、fortunately, she is a past chairman of the Green Party Mongolia. She is an actress and the face of the party. She introduced me a lot of people and finally we had a press conference together and announced the statement. 7 TV stations came for the interview. So I appeared on TV news several times.
Why Mongolia? They are producing 1% uranium but some international organization released that their potential reserve is more than 15% in the world. The specialists say that Uranium will be exhausted in 80 years. That's why the countries of the world power come to Mongolia to get Uranium and bring it back to their country for Nuke Power Stations and the Nuke weapons .I realized that it is the actual Colonialism.
The Mongolian Government decided to construct a Nuke Power station in 2020. Last May Japanese Mainichi News Paper released that The three countries, USA, Japan and Mongolia agreed the CFS(comprehensive fuel service) which means they mine and purify the Uranium in Mongolia and take them to their countries and use it for the Nuke Stations and Nuke weapons and bring the wastes back to Mongolia again and bury them there.
As you know Mongolia is a nomadic nation and has only 2.7millions population which is the one fourth of Japanese in the four times bigger land than Japan. Their average distance to go to a neighbor is 40kilo meters. They say once they construct the nuke station China will buy all the electricity and the Chinese army will guard the station.Now a Korean company is researching the most suitable place for the Nuke Station.But the most popular station among the specialists who promote the project is the one of Toshiba.
I discussed many young Mongolians and agreed that we would have a press conference at Nov 11, 11 o’clock at the same time in Mongolia, Japan and Korea using internet. And we did it. This is the first case among the three countries.
Next coming January, the Mongolian lady and the Korean professor will attend the forum of Global Conference for a Nuclear Power Free World held in Yokohama. We will strengthen our solidarity and expand our activities in Asia. Our mutual slogan is Nuclear Free Asia.
５．アメリカの実情
Let me explain you country America.
Do you know that Bill Gates had invested Several hundred billion yen to Toshiba through the American venture company which he had bought? How much in US dollars? maybe it is several billions dollars.
Toshiba located just near Haneda Airport, restarted the experimental nuke power station in Kawasaki a few days ago, and at the same time the US Government announced to admit that Westing House constructs four Nuke power Stations for 34 years after the Three Mile Island Accident at South Carolina and Georgia. Maybe they are poor areas far from big cities. This is the same phonomena in the world. This we call inner colonialism. Westing House is a Subsidiary of Toshiba. Toshiba
has 87% of the stocks of WH. So Toshiba will export their turbines and get a lot of profit from the project as a parent company and Bill Gates also will gain the huge profit as a big investor. As for Westing House, it has deep relations with Hyundai Korea when President Lee was a president of the company.
６．脱原発は一向主義では勝てない、国際連帯
Let's conclude my speech.
Do you agree that your country will construct the four Nuke Power Statins in your saint land or oppose to the project? It's up to you. But if you stand up, saying No More Nuke Power Stains in your country, it will encourage the people who are struggling in Japan, Korea and Mongolia all over the world. Let's make our slogan with you, we want to expand our slogan Nuclear Free Asia to Nuclear Free World.
If we do not want to construct Nuke Power Stations near our houses, let’s not allow to export them to foreign countries. America is the center of this Nuke World, the head of the Nuke Mafia who has spread them all over the world so far, saying peaceful use of Nuke power, and stopped to construct them in your country but has kept exporting them to foreign countries exposing several severe conditions for the sake of their profit and the power to keep controlling other countries. It is the new colonialism after the war.
When we say Nuclear Free World, which means not only the Nuke Power Station and weapons, we pursue the society where we do not have any kinds of discriminations against any kinds of groups. We want to make our society where anyone can live as human beings with dignity. Now all of us in the world seem to lose our dreams. So let’s remember the famous phrase born in your country, and start to walk toward it, I have a dream in our society where we do not see any discriminations, we see beautiful, clean land all over the world without any fear of radioactivity. Mothers and kids can play in any ground and we can eat any food and water without any anxiety.
We will pay attention to the local communities and regions where we live in order to keep our traditions and cultures, expecting economical high standard by which we will expel the Nuke Power Stations which are constructed in poor regions.
We can shake hands with anyone in spite of our race and nationality as a friend , who are trying to make our own local community, regions and society better. I have a dream like that.
